I fell victim to an item swap...i was at RuneScape Gold a very low level, still ~50cmb, i wanted to learn firemaking and was buying bulk amounts of yews from players who were using the gp I earned from fishing lobsters and selling them to other players (there was no Grand Exchange).
I was about to purchase around 20k yewlogs. I was angry and needed them quickly. Very few people would pay me enough to get what I wanted. Until someone gave me exactly what i required. He traded me the logs for the money up.
The trade was canceled and I was traded once more and he replied something along the lines of "sorry" and then immediately put 20k willow logs in to trade. I paid him a significant profit on a pile of trash logs. The logs I used to teach firemaking still existed however at much slower rates. This was a tragic loss to the F2P scaper, who was fairly new.
I took it to learn and have continued to double check, sometimes triple, every time. Luckily, the Grand Exchange solved a lot of these issues except if you're under the limit for purchases. However, i am a patient individual who will wait a few weeks to see what is accessible at the GE to purchase what I need.
Learn and grow... I'm going add that i've been scammed numerous times. One of the most memorable was when a player dressed in Buy OSRS Accounts a completionist robe contacted me to help him with a quest a pressureplate in blood is deep'.
