Vorkath Melee Guide

OldSchool RuneScape (OSRS) Vorkath Melee Guide - The Most Effective Strategy To Overcome

Vorkath is one of the easiest and most lucrative bosses to solo in OSRS which could be killed either in melee or ranged style. Following the launch of Dragon Hunter Lance in 2019 January, it was even simpler and more efficient to kill the boss with melee because you'll receive that juicy 20% boost in damage and accuracy when fighting dragons. Another benefit of killing Vorkath by melee is the saved supplies, because melee will provide you with an increased defense bonus and you don't require ammo. This guide will focus on the killing of Vorkath by using melee.

Profits:

Average earnings from one kill can range between 140k and 160k OSRS gold. Once you've become proficient in Vorkath, you can expect to get 30+ kills per hour which results in 4.5M gold in an hour. This is dependent on the equipment you use that will be explained in the future. There aren't any regular drops such as dragon hides, coins or other alchables. There's a chance to get one of the exclusive drops that will enhance your trips notably. Below are exclusive drops at current prices for 2019 June

6M Draconic Face -

Skeletal visage - 36M

Necklace of Dragonbone - 100.4k

Vorki - a dope looking pet.

More valuable information is available:

Like Alchemical Hydra or Zulrah, Vorkath will always offer 2 drops, which will remain on the ground for 30mins (unless you will leave the location, which can result in losing the lost objects!). The items can be obtained from a boatman at an amount of 100k should you die. It shouldn't be a problem in case you're a regular participant because Vorkath could be killed in the background while watching YouTube.

Because Vorkath is an undead monster The salve amulet's (ei-attack bonuses) is not stacked with dragon hunter lance bonuses. If you're in the blue dragons' slayer mission, you could also bring your slayer helmet and switch your salve (ei) amulet for the torture amulet or the fury amulet to get even more kills.

Requirements and recommendations

It is required to have completed Dragon Slayer 2, which includes 200 quest points Legends Quests, Legends Quests Mentors, Dream Mentors Edgar's Ruse, and Legends Quest. Some skills are required, such as 60 Agility, 70 Smithing and more. All of these are worth the effort and will be worth it!

It's a dragon, therefore you'll require a solution to dragonfire breath. It could be an anti-dragon shield or dragon fireshield. Runes are also required for the "crumble undead", spell that consumes two earth and two air and one chaos rune. Dust runes are able to be used to free up one inventory/rune slot.

Fremennik elite diaries are highly recommended as they allow you to travel to Vorkath at the quickest manner. This method of teleportation works with the Ornate rejuvenation pool that is located in your player owned house, which will restore the HP, Prayer, and the Special Attack bar. The minimum required construction for this pool is at least 82. However, it will significantly increase the number of kills you can get in hour.

If you don't own Freynik elite shoes or a rejuvenation pool, I suggest that you swap your supplies for super restores from Saradomin and saradomin-brewed brews to make longer excursions.

Combat Requirements:

Although Vorkath can be killed with no specific fighting skills However, you can make your trips more efficient by having these combat skills.

90+ Attack

90+ Strength

More than 90 Defence

90+ Hitpoints

Prayers for Piety: 70+

How do I get there?

There are three routes to reach the destination.

To begin, you'll need your house located in Rellekka After that, you can make use of your teleportation system to player owned house, then exit the portal and run to the boatman (all methods are displayed below). S. I recommend that you have POH in Rellekka even if it's not the first.

Only Fremennik elite diaries are needed to use the Lunar Isle method. Take teleportation method to Lunar Isle without Seal of passage. Talk to an NPC and they'll send you off the Isle to the location that is shown below.

To teleport Fremennik boot, just select the teleportation option on Fremennik boot and follow a few steps to reach the boatman.

You will need to move to be able to take advantage of the fire bomb attack. This attack is really slow, therefore it shouldn't be a problem to dodge it. This attack is listed below. Now let's look at Vorkath's special and fundamental attacks. For the most basic attacks, he'll make use of Melee ranged, Dragonfire and Fire Bomb, Magic, Venom, and Prayer-disabling attacks. While it might seem to be many things but your defense bonus, Serpentine Helm and Super anti fire potion, and prayer protection will be able to handle the majority of his attacks. It is only necessary to concentrate on two of his most basic attacks.

To activate your Prayer-disabling Attack, just hit the quick prayer icon. It's as easy as that. Here's an example of such an attack:

Below is an Ice breath attack. After Ice breath attack, which can be seen below: After every 6 basic attacks Vorkath will employ one of two special attacks:

Vorkath will spawn the zombie minion, which will begin approaching you in a suicide attack. It is recommended to use your Crumble Undead spell as soon as you can to get rid of him. Failure to do so will result in it taking as much as 60+ damages.

2nd Special attack - Acid spills + fireball bombardment:

Vorkath will rapidly sprinkle acid across the area, and then spit out fireballs that will track your movement. Start running and moving around the area to avoid acid spills that cause 10 damage and heal Vorkath.

It's crucial to move around the area. Because each fireball is capable of causing as much as 30+ injuries, Vorkath has these attacks per tick. It is more beneficial to move about rather than stop moving.

The fight:

Before entering instance, make sure you are prepared with your prayers according to the instructions in this instructional. Take a sip each of Super combat and extended superantifire potions. After that, you can enter.

While in instance, Vorkath won't attack you until you poke at him. Free up 1 inventory space , by dropping a shark or other animal, you will able to pick it up following the fight. Prepare your Bandos godsword and special attack ready, and poke Vorkath at the beginning of the battle.

If Bandos godsword spec. Vorkath will not be struck by an attack. I suggest that you teleport back to your home, drink a glass of water from the pool of Ornate rejuvenation and then begin again. Vorkath's high defense bonus and the ability to make special attacks successful in the beginning of the fight will accelerate your progress which makes it less likely for you to fall into mistakes.

After the success of a BGS special attack Vorkath will attack with 6 basic attacks before utilizing one of his special abilities, which are random. To prevent acid spill attacks I suggest that you stop running following 5 basic attacks.

He will continue the special attack using six basic attacks. After that, he'll employ an additional special ability. For instance, if the first special attack was Acid spill, second special attack will be Zombified the spawn, and then another six basic attacks will follow , which leads to an additional Acid spill attack and the cycle continues.

If you own an Ornate rejuvenation facility, take the loot right after killing. You can then poke him to restart the process.

If you lost your life during the fight, head to the boatman and ask him to retrieve your lost stuff for 100 dollars. It doesn't matter if you have less than 100k in your inventory. The cash will come directly from your bank.

Pro tip:

Once you've learned Vorkath's techniques, you can master the technique known as Woox walking. It is used to carry out acid spill-specific attack. In essence, you'll need to take on Vorkath while dodging his rapid firing attacks by continually moving back and forth. In order to accomplish this the right way, you need to locate an acid-free location, then press attack and then Vorkath, and swiftly move back to make sure you do not stop in the same spot. This technique takes many hours of practice that will cost you 100k each time you fail to do it. You will be able to make maximum gains every hour if this technique is mastered.
