For the Detroit Pistons in NBA 2K22, you can predict their starting and ending player ratings.

Even though some of the luster has faded from the iconic brand in recent years, almost everyone is still going to buy the latest iteration, NBA 2K22, when it launches on September 10th

Another season, another NBA 2K. Even though some of the luster has faded from the iconic brand in recent years, almost everyone is still going to buy the latest iteration, NBA 2K22, when it launches on September 10th.

Some of us are eager to see how the new pieces of a team will fit together, and the Detroit Pistons are one of those intriguing new-look teams that will be entertaining to watch. The Pistons have suddenly become more intriguing than they have been in years, thanks to the addition of No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham.

NBA 2K's player ratings have been dropping in recent days, primarily for superstars such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Steph Curry, and Luka Doncic, as well as up-and-coming youngsters such as Trae Young and Zion Williamson.

We're getting closer to the release of buy NBA 2K22 MT, the newest installment in the legendary franchise. What do the Detroit Pistons expect to happen when the player ratings are released?
Needless to say, the Pistons' starting lineup is left out in the cold for the time being. Jerami Grant had a fantastic first season in Detroit, but he isn't quite in either of the top two classes just yet. Cade Cunningham is about to embark on his rookie season, and the time for the release of his rating has not yet arrived.

Although the players may be impatient, this delay is beneficial for our purposes. We're going to go through the roster one by one and project for each player both their season-beginning and season-ending player ratings. We'll also check in on this later in the season to see how close we came to achieving our goal. Additionally, for players who have already played in the NBA, we will have the advantage of being able to look at their NBA 2K21 season-ending ratings, but we will not rely on them. Without further ado, let us get started.

Reasons for the Pistons' player rating movement on NBA 2K

It's safe to assume that players who get to spend a significant amount of time with Cade Cunningham will have the opportunity to shine, and they can expect their player ratings to rise as the season progresses. Jerami Grant may be the most significant beneficiary of this, as the two of them are expected to log significant minutes together, and Cunningham will undoubtedly make his life easier as time goes on.

Players who are less likely to spend the majority of their minutes with Cunningham are also less likely to realize the full extent of their potential upside. Saben Lee, Sekou Doumbouya, and Josh Jackson, for example, will almost certainly be on the bench, where they will not have the same opportunities to shine as their starting-lineup counterparts.

Following a poor shooting performance in the Las Vegas Summer League, Killian Hayes may find himself with a low NBA 2K MT rating in particular. He showed some improvement from what we saw at the end of the 2020-21 season in terms of physicality and some shot-making around the basket, but he didn't demonstrate any significant improvement as a shooter, which will hinder his perception in this game.
